We are a future-focused training programme.
Innovation and creativity are at the heart of how we operate. With our agile and practical training approach, we equip our students with the skills necessary to thrive and to create change, in the modern global workforce.
Melbourne Space Program is a not-for-profit organisation, with the aim to launch the next generation of technology pioneers. We use space technology as a vehicle to discover passion, build experience and deliver solutions to industry. The program moves towards establishing itself as a leader in space-related issues and a pioneer of progress within the space industry – and in doing so, endeavours to demonstrate what Australia as a nation can accomplish in space.
The Melbourne Space Program offers a flexible, customisable development pathway that enables participants to experience a spectrum of professional roles and develop industry-relevant professional skills across engineering, business, communications and legal workstreams. Supplementing a student’s studies, this approach is designed to enable participants to undertake end-to-end projects which require the complex problem-solving, application of technical skills and the development of soft-skills as students operate in a best practice environment on projects such as the ACRUX-1 satellite. Students are supported by a network of mentors from leading companies who teach the best engineering and business practice in a Scrum and DevOps environment conducive to agile principles. The result is a job-ready workforce equipped to support the nascent space sector and broader technology sectors in Australia.
